Won the Ryanair Chase in 2013 on his last Festival visit and surely one of the most popular winners of the week should he prevail.Rating: 9/10DJAKADAM (Ruby Walsh)Recent form: 12-21F Djakadams jockey Ruby Walsh and trainer Willie Mullins in the parade ring after winning in the John Durkan Memorial Punchestown Chase Possibly the forgotten horse of the race having fallen when odds-on favourite here in January but certainly worth remembering it was he who chased home Coneygree in the big one 12 months ago. Looked as good, if not better, than ever when thrashing Valseur Lido in the John Durkan on his seasonal debut and at the age of seven theres every reason to believe he could have much more to offer.Rating: 7/10DON COSSACK (Bryan Cooper)Recent form: 111F1 Ended last season as the highest-rated chaser in training and this years form gives us no reason to doubt his talent. One blip was a late fall when appearing to be mounting a strong challenge in the King George at Kempton and although not particularly impressive in his prep at Thurles in January, that came over an inadequate trip and on ground softer than he cares for. Some have questioned his Cheltenham record but had excuses when he was third in last years Ryanair and hes the one they all have to beat with Cooper opting to ride him over Don Poli.Rating: 10/10DON POLI (Davy Russell)Recent form: 11-511 Bryan Cooper and Willie Mullins (right) with Don Poli Hugely talented seven-year-old who doesnt do anything flashy but gets the job done more often than not, winning five of his six chase starts to date. Most of his form is on soft going but did win the RSA Chase here on good 12 months ago and hes bound to be staying on strongly up the hill. But will he be quick enough to maintain his place when the tempo increases?Rating: 8/10IRISH CAVALIER (Paul Townend)Recent form: 42155P Irish Cavalier ridden by Paul Townend (left) jumps the last ahead of Annacotty ridden by Ian Popham (right) Won the novices handicap chase at the meeting last year and added to his tally at Newton Abbot in October. Found life tough since, though, and pulled up when last seen on heavy ground here in January. Loads to prove in Grade One company and yet to fully convince over a staying trip so plenty of reasons to look elsewhere.Rating: 2/10OFAOLAINS BOY (Noel Fehily)Recent form: 5/P1P8 Noel Fehily riding OFaolains Boy to win The David Martin Graduation Steeple Chase at Newbury Had a long time off after enjoying a good 2013/14 campaign, when he beat Smad Place narrowly to claim RSA Chase glory at the Festival. Very in-and-out since returning and while his wide-margin win at Newbury in December suggested he was back on an upward trajectory, two flops since, including over hurdles last time, temper enthusiasm. Hard to see him being good enough to contest the finish.Rating: 2/10ON HIS OWN (Patrick Mullins)Recent form: 97U482 Davy Russell on Lord Windermere (R) won from David Casey on On His Own (centre) in the 2014 Gold Cup Grand old servant to the Mullins yard and his finest hour came here when beaten a short-head by Lord Windermere in the 2014 renewal of the Gold Cup. Hes being aimed at the Grand National and looked on good terms with himself when second behind Boston Bob at Fairyhouse recently but hell need others in this line-up to seriously disappoint if hes to lift the top prize here.Rating: 3/10ROAD TO RICHES (TBC)Recent form: 13-312 BJ Cooper on Road To Riches (left), eventual winner Ruby Walsh on Vautour and Richard Johnson on Village Vic clear a jump in the Ryanair Chase Third in the Gold cup last season and has kept up a very strong level of form this term but he ran in the Ryanair Chase on Thursday and doesnt look likely to take part.Rating: 5/10SMAD PLACE (Wayne Hutchinson)Recent form: 4-1141 Popular grey who went close at the Festival in the World Hurdle a couple of times before pushing OFaolains Boy close in the 2014 RSA Chase. Wasnt anything like his best throughout most of the last campaign but returned to action with a Kempton win in November and followed up in the Hennessy Gold Cup at Newbury. Only fourth when different tactics were adopted in the King George at Kempton but back to peak form with a thrilling front-running win over this course and distance in January. Looks a strong pace angle here but drying ground and stronger opposition the slight nagging doubts over his claims.Rating: 7/10VERDICT: Few would rule out Cue Card winning the £1million bonus after the season hes had already and the reception Sprinter Sacre received on Wednesday could even be matched should Colin Tizzards popular chaser do the business in Fridays feature. But Don Cossack looked like he could have taken his measure in the King George before falling two fences from home and the drying ground has come good for Gordon Elliotts highly-regarded charge. PITTSBURGH -- As he lay on the Heinz Field turf last September, his right knee in tatters, Maurkice Pouncey admits there was a small part of him that feared his football career might be in jeopardy. The Pittsburgh Steelers never doubted. They signed him to a five-year contract extension Thursday that averages $8.8 million per season, making Pouncey the highest-paid centre in the NFL. Words cant explain it," Pouncey said while fighting back tears, barely nine months removed from a torn ACL that ended his 2013 season moments after it began. The only centre in league history to make the Pro Bowl in each of his first three seasons is nearly all the way back from surgery to repair the knee after teammate David DeCastro fell on it eight plays into last falls season opener against Tennessee. The 24-year-old Pouncey insists hes "totally fine." The new financial deal puts him just ahead of the agreement signed by Clevelands Alex Mack in April. However, getting paid was the least of Pounceys concerns. Entering the final year of the contract he signed after the Steelers took him with the 18th overall selection in the 2010 draft, Pouncey simply ordered agent Jason Segal to get to work. "I didnt have much role in it," Pouncey said. "I told my agent to get it done as soon as possible so we could move on to other things." Namely getting the Steelers back into the post-season. Considered one of the most athletic linemen at any position in the NFL, Pouncey provides Pittsburgh with a gifted anchor to protect quarterback Ben Roethlisberger. Its a commitment that never wavered as Pouncey underwent surgery and a grueling rehab last fall. Although Roethlisberger maintains Pouncey could have returned before the end of the 2013 season, the arduous recovery process isnt quite over. While Pouncey was a full participant in organized team activities that wrapped up on Thursday, he remains involved in near daily rehab work. The goal is to be 100 per cent by training camp in July. The contract means Pouncey wont have to deal with any potential distractions about his future. Besides, he never planned on leaving anyway. Free agency didnt appeal to him, particularly after the loyalty shown by the Steelers from the moment they chose him to follow in a line of great centres that includes Hall of Famers Mike Webster and Dermontti Dawson. Pounceys career arc is trending in that direction. Having the game taken away from him last September makes him eager to get back to work. "Ill do anything for this team," Pouncey said. "Theres true love here."
